The associate actuary works under the direction of a supervisor, project manager or account executive to create and deliver solutions for clients, identifying options with recommendations and providing additional resources. The associate actuary is responsible for ensuring that best practices are adhered to within the practice area, identifying deficiencies in procedures or systems, correcting as appropriate, and more...
The consulting actuary functions as an independent advisor to insurance companies; corporations; federal, state and local governments; and trade associations on actuarial matters. Works on a client base of others and/or works toward developing their own client base as an account executive, or provides predictive analytics services to clients. Works in and leads project teams, and leads actuarial analyses and client services.
The manager of operations and administration (manager) is responsible for assisting in the leadership of all operations functions [accounting, human resources (HR), information technology (IT) and marketing communications], assisting in coordinating key management areas (KMAs), and managing administrative staff.
