Jordan has experience with actuarial studies for captives, self-insureds and traditional insurance companies involving loss reserving, loss cost projections, risk margin calculations, simulation methods and commercial lines ratemaking. He also works with funding and reserve analyses for single-parent captives that write coverage for enterprise risks.
Jordan serves as project manager for multiple group captives and insurance companies, performing both interim and year-end reserve analyses, and yearly funding analyses. He is responsible for the preparation of Statements of Actuarial Opinion (SAOs).
In addition, Jordan develops simulation applications that determine risk transfer in reinsurance contracts consistent with Statement of Standard Accounting Practice (SSAP) No. 62, as well as simulation applications that calculate risk margins using company specific data. Further, he has assisted in the development of several simulation models used for loss fund projections and unpaid claims estimates.
